Event Information:

This webinar will focus on the development, investment and regeneration activity in Bromley.

Alongside the Council we’re hosting this webinar to reveal future opportunities and projects in the borough – with private sector developers joining us to discuss their plans.

There are some exciting proposals being put forward across the region – such as a new hub of mixed-use development at Crystal Palace Park – and this development will act as a catalyst for further investment.

Short presentations on future proposals and visions will be shared by the Council and private sector developers working in the area on this webinar, before we open the floor to our audience for a Q&A session.

Speakers for this event include:

  • London Borough of Bromley – are about to undertake the delivery of their biggest ever development ambition- the regeneration of Crystal Palace Park; they also have huge plans to develop their own housing stock in the coming years- ending a 30 year tradition of housebuilders undertaking residential programmes. On this webinar, Alicia will reveal key timelines and phases of work that will be undertaken by the council and its development partners while also underlining the credentials which saw the borough named in the top 3 eco-friendly boroughs in London.
  • Areli Real Estate – are in the very early stages of planning the redevelopment of Walnut Shopping Centre in Orpington Town Centre and after some initial exploratory work are looking to prepare a masterplan and planning application which will be submitted over the next 12 months. Their project will hopefully completely overhaul the image of the town centre and will feature major retail, residential and leisure centre schemes. This is a completely new project which will be lead by experts in placemaking and Will’s participation may give the audience a flavour of what to expect.
  • Historic England – are deemed a key partner of Bromley Council and are one of the main architects of their placemaking strategy. Bromley is home to a series of heritage buildings and sites and the council are keen to rejuvenate them. One of the first projects is the iconic Crystal Palace Subway and Historic England are leading on its redevelopment. In this session Simon will talk about that project and others that their organisation are looking to restore within the Borough.
