Event Information:

This webinar will focus on the development activity in Newcastle and the wider city region, whilst also addressing some of the key issues and challenges which we as an industry face in the coming months. Speakers will be invited to share details on their current development programme and future pipelines as well as providing advice and opinion on what the industry needs to do to survive the current crisis, what is requires in the short term and how we will manage the increased demand and activity once the UK recovers.

Speakers for this event include:

  • Newcastle City Council – we’ll be hearing about the council owned land which they’re looking to unlock for regeneration and development across the city.
  • Cadzow Estates – a champion for development and investment across the North East, Helen has been a major player on the built environment scene in the region for many years. Formerly Investment Director at Trust Estates, Helen is now playing a key role hooking up international investors and sovereign wealth funds to development opportunities in the UK. Helen has a specific remit to help Far East and Middle East developers connect with land development opportunities across Tyneside, County Durham, Teeside and Wearside and will give an insight into the types of investment the region may see over the next two years.
  • iMpeC Developments – Milburngate is a 450,000 st ft mixed-use development costing £165m on the banks of the River Wear and part of a wider regeneration of Country Durham. An expert in delivering ‘place based’ regeneration, Neil will give an update on the progress of this project and give a glimpse into his work alongside developer Arlington with their future ambitions.
  • Ask Real Estate – as part of a £260m JV between Ask Real Estate and Patrizia which will deliver huge regeneration of Gateshead Quays, Sarah will be on hand to talk about this game changing development that is set to deliver thousands of jobs to the region while contributing significantly to refining the North East as a major destination for leisure and investment. Plans include a new arena, conference centre, cafes, bars and restaurants complemented by high quality hotel accommodation.
