Cambridge & Peterborough Economic Growth Conference | Event

Huge thanks to those that joined us for the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Economic Growth Conference. The conference was a huge success with over 250 delegates joining us alongside leading figures from the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough region.

The next conference will be held on the 5th December 2018 at the Guildhall in Cambridge – JOIN US THERE!

CAMBRIDGESHIRE & PETERBOROUGHS FUTURE STARTS HERE!

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough’s population is set to grow to 1.5m by 2031. The region hosts a number of globally significant business clusters, world class research capacity linked to universities, a number of thriving market towns, and is the UK’s leader in agriculture, food and drink. The area boasts 700,000 jobs, 60,000 enterprises and generates £30bn per annum.

There is a significant amount of activity in terms of infrastructure and development happening in the region, with new buildings rising by the month, the University of Cambridge’s £1bn development with accommodation, schools, surgeries and more, and that’s in addition to over £1bn being pumped into the city by the government for a new railway station, new homes, roads, and much more.

With a new Mayor in place at the Combined Authority, increased devolution powers and a very active LEP there is lots going on.
