WEBINAR: Procurement & Frameworks – Midlands

Wednesday, 6th May 2020 1400hrs – 1500hrs

Procurement remains one of the most significant challenges for the industry to address right across the board; the public sector clients, framework providers and also contractors and consultants.

So what’s going well and what are the challenges? What does best practice look like and how can we achieve it? Is social value just a current buzz word? Have climate emergency regulations had any effect? Frameworks or direct procurement?

This event will hopefully answer those questions with some of the biggest names in the industry – focusing more specifically on the Midlands. We’ll hear from a panel of expert speakers from a range of backgrounds – Councils, Clients and Framework Providers.

Running similar to our usual events we’ll be hearing from speakers who’ll deliver some very short and snappy presentations – sharing details on their future schemes and the role frameworks will play – before an open discussion with those watching the Webinar – where you’ll have an opportunity to listen, discuss and debate during the meaningful panel debate.

Speakers for this event include:

Emma Hesbrook,
Regional Relationship Manager, Midlands
Marc Preite,
Capital Projects Manager
Ian Taylor,
Managing Director
  • Pagabo – make procurement quicker, easier and more effective. They help public sector organisations across the UK by providing EU compliant framework agreements, a DPS and bespoke consultancy. Emma will talk about their current frameworks and what is planned for 2020 and beyond in addition to providing expert advice on procurement solutions.
  • Nottingham Trent University – over the last 10 years, Nottingham Trent University has invested £350m in its campus and Marc has been an integral part of the procurement process for each project. As the University moves on to the next stages of its development he will be able to deliver best practice insight into collaborating with their Estates team and a peek behind the curtain to what might be next on their masterplan.
  • Henry Brothers – well known for their work across both the public and private sector, Ian will share an overview of frameworks and procurement from a contractors viewpoint, with a focus on collaboration, challenges and opportunities.
