WEBINAR: Procurement & Frameworks – North; Sponsored by Faithful+Gould

Friday, 15th May 2020 1000hrs – 1100hrs

Procurement remains one of the most significant challenges for the industry to address right across the board; the public sector clients, framework providers and also contractors and consultants.

So what’s going well and what are the challenges? What does best practice look like and how can we achieve it? Is social value just a current buzz word? Have climate emergency regulations had any effect? Frameworks or direct procurement?

This event will hopefully answer those questions with some of the biggest names in the industry – focusing more specifically on the North of England. We’ll hear from a panel of expert speakers from a range of backgrounds – Councils, Clients and Framework Providers.

Running similar to our usual events we’ll be hearing from speakers who’ll deliver some very short and snappy presentations – sharing details on their future schemes and the role frameworks will play – before an open discussion with those watching the Webinar – where you’ll have an opportunity to listen, discuss and debate during the meaningful panel debate.

Speakers for this event include:

Simon Toplass,
Chief Executive
Lorraine Cross,
Procurement Category Manager
Paul Disley,
Procurement Manager
Ged McNicholl,
Director
  • Pagabo – the Yorkshire-based private framework provider are known for making procurement quicker, easier and more effective. They’re rarely out of the news – whether it be their recently announced £10bn Major Works framework or their support for businesses throughout the Covid-19 situation – and they’ll be sharing details on their current frameworks and what is planned for 2020 and beyond.
  • Liverpool City Council – the city is undergoing a major transformation, with multi-billion pound projects regenerating the city region. There is becoming an increased demand for procurement and Lorraine will share details on what is up and coming and how projects and works will be procured.
  • West Yorkshire Combined Authority – looking after the construction sector at the WYCA, Paul works closely with local authorities across West Yorkshire and he’ll be sharing intel into their work. WYCA tends to handle procurement across projects from £500k-£20m and we’ll hear about what might be coming up in the coming months.
  • Faithful+Gould – the world-leading integrated project and programme management consultancy find themselves on many of the North West’s largest and most utilised frameworks and they’ll be bringing their expertise to the panel to share their knowledge on procurement, best practice in frameworks and how they see the sector changing over the next few years.
