Essex is undergoing a large amount of development as it continues to become an attractive alternative to London, both to live and work. With a strong collaborative approach amongst local and regional authorities the area is set up nicely to see a major transformation through regeneration and development.

  • VINCI UK Developments – are delivering a large scale commercial development that will provide space for high-tech businesses in the life sciences, ICT and advanced manufacturing sectors. When complete the 25 acre park will provide 600,000 sq ft of space and more than 2,500 jobs. Richard will explain the current status of the project, how the latest phase will progress, and how it will drive inclusive growth and attract further investment to the corridor.
  • South East LEP – As SELEP’s initial 5 year growth deal worth £579m of investment comes to a close in 2021, the LEP are in the midst of planning the next tranche of investment and as part of this event, Adam will talk about the work he is leading to support regeneration across Essex, the county’s role in the wider Thames Estuary vision and its blossoming relationship with their neighbours in Hertfordshire.
  • Harlow Council – are collaborating with Essex County Council, Homes England and Places for People to bring forward a £50 million Town Centre Investment Fund to help drive the regeneration of Harlow Town Centre. The fund will allow the construction of retail, office and hospitality spaces alongside large scale residential development. According to the council the plan will “enhance the quality of the town centre, creating a mixed community through direct delivery and promotion of better designed, sustainable and higher quality homes, services and the built environment.” The final aim of the project is to boost confidence in future projects planned by the council, mainly the Harlow Gilston Garden Town.
  • L&Q – are set to undergo an expansion outside of London with Essex being one of their priority counties and at this event, Craig will talk delegates through detailed ambitions for a host of new sites, their commitment to inclusive economic growth and world class design.
