Flood Risk & Future Defence Developments

Friday, 25th June 2021 1345hrs – 1530hrs

Water-based natural disasters effect over 5 million Britons every year.

More than 300,000 homes are protected from the effects of flooding compared to 2015. With government’s £5.2 billion flood and coastal defence programme from last year’s budget set to start in April this year, this webinar offers a great opportunity to open the discussion between a range of experts to share thought leadership and insight into innovations within the flood defence sector.

From coastal defences to sustainable drainage systems, we’ll look to explore new technologies to make our communities safer.

Speakers include:

Phil Laycock,
Director
Pip Betts,
Project Manager
Rachael Maskell MP,
Chair
Julie Foley,
Director of Flood Risk Strategy and National Adaptation
