This event will focus on future development, regeneration and investment in Kent.

As a strategic county for UK PLC’s gateway to the world, Kent is undergoing constant metamorphosis. As the region braces itself for a plethora of regeneration and development activity this webinar is the ideal place for developers, investors and the built environment industry to understand projects that are coming to the fore.

  • Kent County Council – as the purveyors of many planning and development decisions in the region, Kent county council are one of the most proactive in terms of planning and infrastructure development in the UK. The county is set to play a vital role in a post Brexit world and the council see development as key to supporting country-wide trade ambitions. As part of this session, Barbara will talk in depth about the work that is going on to create development opportunities in the south east.
  • Ebbsfleet Development Corporation – are behind the planned Ebbsfleet Garden City, a major new community on the banks of the Thames. Earlier this year they made a major land purchase, the 125 ha Ebbsfleet Central site which will allow many of the promised 15,000 homes to be delivered. The development will enable 32,000 new homes to be created, and a £7.4 million “green corridor” of active transport routes is planned. Julia will give us more intel on this scheme and how to get involved.
