Mark Jackson; Managing Director Scarborough Development GroupMark-Jackson-alt

Mark Jackson is Managing Director of Scarborough Development Group and a Director of its parent company, Scarborough Group International.

After graduating from the University of Reading Mark joined Teesland (part of Scarborough Group) in 1995.  He moved in 2002 to join one of Scarborough’s development partners, the housebuilder Gladedale Group, becoming a director of a number of companies within the Group and Managing Director of its mixed use division, ‘Reland’.  After Scarborough sold Teesland to Valad in 2007, it shifted its focus to its overseas businesses.  Mark re-joined the Group in January 2010 as the  company relaunched itself into property development in the UK with its portfolio of long-term projects, including Thorpe Park in Leeds and Talbot Green in South Wales, and the acquisition of 8 new projects in partnership with Investec Bank.

Scarborough has set ambitious expansion plans for the coming years and will be bringing forward a substantial development programme in 2014.


William Smith; Construction & Facilities Director, ASDAWilliam Smith1.

William is Construction and Facilities Director at Asda, having previously had responsibility as Property Acquisitions Director.

Prior to Asda, William held the positions of Property Director and latterly Managing Director at Netto (part of the Danish Dansk/Maersk Group). William played a key role in the £770m sale and subsequent successful integration of the Netto business to Asda. Prior to joining Netto, he had significant experience in real estate consultancy, advising a range of retail, investment and development clients.

William has a degree in Land Economics, and is a qualified Chartered Surveyor.


Richard Lewis; Property Director, Town Centre SecuritiesRAL

Richard joined TCS in 2000 to rejuvenate the development side of the business, progressing to Board level in 2001. Following recent Board restructuring, he has taken over responsibility for the group property portfolio. A frustrated architect, Richard is a firm believer in the need to deliver quality and sustainable schemes.


Colin Fell; Chairman Marrico Asset Management LLPColin Fell

Colin has a background with DTZ, King Sturge, Jones Lang LaSalle amongst others.

He brings 35 years of experience in the commercial and residential property sectors including acquisitions, disposals, valuations and marketing. He has been responsible for in excess of £300m of office Investment property disposals and acquisitions, as well as £350m of retail property investment disposals and acquisitions and a further £150m of similar industrial/retail warehouse property, in the North of England. Colin has also been involved in the purchase/sale of 11 major shopping centres including:  Bolton, Sunderland, Dundee, Poole (Dorset), Greenock, Blaydon, Letchworth, Galleria (Hatfield), Hartlepool, Huddersfield and Victoria Quarter (Leeds). He also has considerable experience advising banks and clients on property lending.

He formed Fernroyd Ventures in 2013 to provide general property advice and took up Non–Executive positions with Metropolis Homes, Elevation Financial Group and Marrico Asset Management LLP. Colin has recently been appointed to be Chairman of Marrico and to provide advice on Development and Funding for the new asset manager. This asset manager advises a group of private wealthy individuals who have instructed them to invest up to £80 Million into commercial real estate with emphasis on Development and Investments where positive asset management can be applied.

Marrico Asset Management are the Development Managers of Central Square in Leeds, on behalf of the investors.
