Rob Elder, Agent – London, Bank of England Rob became the Bank of England’s Agent for Greater London in May 2018 having joined the firm in 1998. He initially supported the Monetary Policy Committee as an economist and then senior manager for 12 years until 2010 when he represented the UK on the board of the International Monetary Fund in Washington DC. When he returned he working in the Bank of England press office and then the Financial Policy Committee running a team monitoring developments in the UK banking sector. He is the eyes and ears around London for the Bank of England, and with his incredible knowledge he’ll be delivering a keynote at the event of the capitals economic outlook, opportunities and trends. @bankofengland Liz Peace, Chair, Government Property Agency Liz was Chief Executive of the British Property Federation for 13 years until her retirement in 2014. She was awarded a CBE in 2008 for services to the property industry. Liz now has a portfolio career with a range of non-executive, advisory and charity roles, at Howard de Walden Estates, RPS plc, RDI REIT plc, Holtby Turner, and the Churches Conservation Trust. She’ll be talking her role at the Government Property Agency (GPA) which delivers property and workplace solutions across government by managing central government property as a strategic asset. GPA is an executive agency, sponsored by the Cabinet Office. @lizpeacecbe Angela Harrowing, Deputy Director – Asset Efficiency and One Public Estates, Cabinet Office Angela started her career at the Department for Communities and Local Government before moving to the Cabinet Office after a brief stint advising KPMG on public sector change programmes. She currently jointly runs the pioneering One Public Estate programme in partnership with the Local Government Association and she’ll be presenting about their strategic plans. Working with over 100 councils and government they’re helping to unlock the value in the public estate, transforming local services and helping to boost local growth – with a view of releasing £5bn+ land and property by 2020. @cabinetofficeuk James Payne, Chair, National Police Estates Group James works across two roles – primarily as Chief Executive Officer at the Office of the Police & Crime Commissioner for Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth and Southampton – and his other role sees him sit as the Chair for the National Police Estates Group. He’ll be giving an overview of the work which the National Police Estates Group are doing across the UK as Police Forces look to rationalise their estates, build efficient new state-of-the-art facilities and headquarters, and dispose of un-needed land to aid development across UK cities. Tom Cheesewright, Futurist Speaker Tom is one of the UK’s leading commentators on technology and tomorrow. He has worked with a huge range of organisations across a variety of markets, to help them to see a clear vision of tomorrow, share that vision and respond with agility. Tom draws on his experience to create original, compelling talks that are keyed to the experience of the audience but which surprise and shock with unexpected facts and examples. @bookofthefuture Peter Elliott, Head of Property, Transport for London Peter has over 15 years’ of experience, and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, RIBA qualified and holds a Post-Grad Diploma in Planning, providing a solid foundation to establish vision, realise value, and benefit from the valence of the planning framework. Peter jointly runs the Property Development team at TfL – who’re transforming their estates portfolio and delivering circa 20m sq ft of development over the next ten years. He’ll be discussing some of the major schemes happening across the city including those at Harrow, Westminster, Barnet and Hammersmith as TfL take a new approach to asset management and land redevelopment. @TfL Roger Madelin, Head of Canada Water Development, British Land Having joined Argent in 1987 Roger went on to become a Director two years later – and was responsible for delivering Argent’s 67-acre King’s Cross development, as well as all of Argent’s other developments including Green Park and Thames Valley Park in Reading, Piccadilly in Manchester, Brindleyplace in Birmingham and more. Now Head of Canada Water Development, having joined British Land in 2016, Roger leads the huge development project and will be speaking about the ambitious scheme and how companies can get involved within the vision for the area. @BritishLandPLC Elaine Bailey, Chief Executive, Hyde Group Elaine joined the Hyde Group in June 2014 and is responsible for the strategic direction of the organisation. Prior to this Elaine has worked in both the public and private sector – primarily in engineering consultancy work with both HM Prison Service and Serco. Her previous roles have seen her run large high performing service operations, helping businesses grow organically and through acquisition.
