We’re delighted to welcome five fantastic speakers to our conference in Manchester who’ll discuss regional development projects, pipeline projects and an abundance of market insight. Discussions and presentations will include an overview from of the City’s plans from Manchester City Council, Shenton Group’s plans for regional development in the next few years, St Michael’s Skyscrapers which have been recently endorsed after a revamp by Historic England along with an insight into the research they’ve been doing to re-use old textile mills in the region, and much more. Historic England are especially keen to engage with developers, investors and interested parties in potential development sites at the event and the VIP Speakers Dinner – as they look to utilise vacant mills and historic buildings in the North of England.

Conference Overview

To kick things off in 2018 we will be joined by 4 top speakers in Manchester providing an abundance of market intel and outlining their development plans for the region in 2018.

Presentations & discussion points will include an overview of the City plans from Joanne Roney the CEO at Manchester City Council, Louise Wyman is the Head of Strategy at Homes England and she will share with us their role in solving the housing challenges and we will also hear from Pete Gladwell of Legal and General Investments about why Manchester is a great place to invest in.

Colin Shenton, Director of Shenton Group, will discuss their current schemes in Manchester and the North West and share their plans for 2018 and beyond.

Catherine Dewar, Planning Director North West & North East for Heritage England, will be speaking to discuss regional plans. A topic point is likely to be the revamped St Michaels Skyscraper which Historic England have endorsed, and their campaign to re-use the region’s textile mills and the research which they have commissioned. They’re wanting vacant mills and historic buildings to be better utilised and have recently produced a report alongside Cushman and Wakefield to highlight potential development sites. They’re keen to engage with developers, investors and interested parties to try and breath new life in these magnificent buildings
