Speakers

 

Chris Roberts, Chief Development Officer; Bruntwood

Chris joined Bruntwood in 1993 having completed a degree in Urban Estate Planning at Liverpool John Moores University.  Since joining Bruntwood, he has held roles in both the sales and development teams before becoming Development Director in 2004.  Chris was also responsible for establishing Bruntwood’s Leeds Office in 2005.

During his time at Bruntwood, Chris has led on several significant development projects, including West One in Leeds, Citylabs in Manchester and Booths Park in Knutsford and is currently leading the development activity within Corridor Manchester and at Alderley Park. He has also been responsible for leading several winning bids for joint development opportunities with the public sector.
Outside of Bruntwood, Chris is also a Governor at Cheadle Hulme School, holding the post of Director of Estates.

 

Guy Butler, Director; Glenbrook Property

Guy founded his career with 15 years at Grosvenor based in London. He worked on three main projects – Festival Place Basingstoke, Liverpool ONE and a £1bn development in Mayfair.

His expertise spans the whole investment and development process, from funding, purchase and sale, through to design, planning, financial appraisal and leasing.

Guy read Land Management at Reading University and European Property Investment at City University, regularly presenting on the development process to academia, such as Cambridge University and Oxford Brookes University. Guy is Chairman of the Chester Growth Partnership and a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

 

Philip Leech, Property Director; Urban & Civic

Philip, chief executive of Terrace Hill since 2005, joined Terrace Hill in 1993 and established and ran the north east office from 1994. He has been personally responsible for large parts of Terrace Hill’s regional development portfolio for the past 20 years. Philip continues to lead the enlarged Group’s commercial development activities.

Sally Lister, Director; Taylor Fay Homes

Alongside Tors, Sally is the co-founder of Taylor Fay Homes.

Sally worked as a TV producer for many years, producing daytime shows and music concerts. She’s always had a passion for renovating houses, particularly terraced houses. “I just love the element of surprise when you walk in…the space, the light and the high ceilings all amount to a stunning home”.

Sally has worked on some exciting productions, but believes that nothing is more exciting than enabling someone to buy their first home!

Victoria Sinclair, Director; Taylor Fay Homes

As co-founder of Taylor Fay Homes, Victoria has been developing properties in East Manchester for a number of years, and enjoys bringing old unloved terraces back to their former glory.

Tors holds a degree BSc (Hons) in computing and engineering, and 16 years of experience in television, both in front and and behind the camera. She presented live and pre recorded shows and became a series producer at the BBC in London.

Victoria’s knowledge of East Manchester is unsurpassed. Her grandparents lived in the Gorton and Moston area, so when she moved back from London, it wasn’t long before she came back to her roots and started investing in East Manchester.
