National Frameworks Conference

We’re launching a series of new online conferences – bringing you everything you come to expect of our normal events – fantastic speakers, excellent panel discussions, presentations on future development projects, networking with attendees, exhibition area and more.

This online conference will focus on construction frameworks.

At this event, a range of framework providers from across the UK will unveil future tranches of work that can be won and talk about how delegates stand the best chance in getting onto their frameworks.

The audience will be rich with public and private sector property and construction specialists meaning that aside from the vital information imparted from the stage, you may end up meeting a key contact who can point you in the direction of future projects.

Bloom was recently appointed by NEPO (the North East Procurement Organisation) to deliver the multi-billion-pound NEPRO³ public sector procurement solution.  On average, public sector buyers currently using the NEPRO solution save between 11% and 19% based on route and against budget. In this session we will hear about Bloom’s £85-100 million per year construction framework and their focus on social value which drives significant growth back into local economies.

John will take us through the CCS’s replacement framework in building materials and their replacement framework in construction professional services worth £1.5 billion. He will also reveal more about their modular buildings framework which is delivering for the health and public sectors.

Prosper – Rod Brasington, Chief Executive

Rod is the Chief Executive of Prosper who work with many housing providers and public sector companies across the North East to find the best solutions for them and their organisation including their new Dynamic Purchasing System Frameworks (DPS) which can be joined at any point throughout the contract. Rod will go into detail on their £500 million Construction and Development Frameworks, their £250 million Compliance and Facilities Management frameworks and their £150 million Design and Consultancy Frameworks and how to get involved.

PAGABO – Simon Toplass, Chief Executive

Pagabo are one of the UK’s leading framework providers – and they’re one of the numerous firms thriving in the Humber Estuary. The firm have a number of Hull University alumni within their ranks, and they’re helping to drive social value and positive legacy on high-value projects across the UK. They’ve recently announced a major new £47bn developer-led framework and they’re set to be at the forefront of the Big Build programme being pushed to drive the post Covid-19 economic recovery.

Scotland Excel – Jenny Bowles, Category Manager, Construction

Scotland Excel are utilised by the Scotland Government and all 32 local authorities across Scotland – whilst also working with 40 housing associations in the country.  Robertson and Crudent were recently announced on their £1.5bn new build construction framework, but they’re now actively seeking contractors to deliver Tier 2 and Tier 3 of the framework. They’re also launching a £500m Energy Efficiency Framework later in the year as they look to help housing associations and councils retrofit their housing stock.

Forthcoming opportunities also on showcase include an £80m Civil Engineering Framework and a new Buildings Consultancy Framework.

Construction Impact Framework – Sara Lawton, Founder & CEO

Starting her career started in DWP, Sara was at the forefront of the employability and skills agenda helping thousands of people across Merseyside access work. Sara then joined Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service leading on organisational change; in additional to managing over 100 Fire Fighters, Sara led on community integration devising projects never before seen by a UK Fire Service. Projects included supporting female prisoners, reducing anti-social behaviour, mentoring young women at risk and working with victims of trafficking and domestic abuse. Helping to transform Mersey Fire Sara was tasked with delivering the Toxteth Fire Fit Hub. A Super Youth Zone situated in the heart of Toxteth that supports thousands of young people from over 50 nationalities.

Inspired by her passion to tackle inequality Sara embarked on the journey of social entrepreneur in 2015 when she founded Construction Impact Framework (CIF). CIF is a commercial procurement business that invests profits into community intervention and prevention projects to tackle societal issues resulting from deprivation and poverty. A business with purpose CIF has invested in projects that tackle homelessness, domestic violence, mental health and youth unemployment.

Sara has worked with over 25 public-sector organisations who have all procured through CIF for the betterment of communities and 2020 marks a milestone of £200,000 generated for social investment across the North West.

Sara has been named Merseyside Woman of the Year, Merseyside Community Woman of the year, Social Innovator, Impact Leader and this year she was named in the WISE100 most influential female business leaders with purpose.

The Crescent Purchasing Consortium – Peter McMullan, Category Manager

Peter is the CPC’s Estates specialist and he’ll take us through their approach to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of members’ estates through innovative procurement solutions whilst ensuring the achievement of best value. There are eight new/renewed resources set to be announced in the next 12 months including sectors like Modular Buildings, EV Charging Points and Waste Management and some are completely new to the industry.

Bloom Procurement Services – Adam Crampsie, Managing Director
