WEBINAR: Planning Reform & Placemaking – North

Planning and placemaking play a vital role in the success of any major development – and this webinar will focus on these key topics with commentary and discussion around the recent Government planning reform, the local and national spatial planning strategy, and best practice and thought leadership into what makes great planning and placemaking.

Experts in the realm of delivering transformational development and being a catalyst for inclusive placemaking, Lynda will give an insight into progress on their Piccadilly Basin scheme while highlighting what she thinks the next major catalysts for development will be in the North.

• Public Sector Plc – their collaborative working with public sector organisations has brought forward some exciting schemes in the likes of Wigan, Bolton and Warrington. And they’ll discuss their approach to placemaking within these schemes and how they’re looking to branch further across the North – and they’re looking to engage with firms to help them transform the North.

• CERT Property – have burst onto the North West development scene over the past couple of years and are renowned for delivering transformational buildings in Greater Manchester. Property visionary Howard Lord will talk about ongoing and forthcoming projects such as SYNQ in the Northern Quarter, Kinetic in Trafford and Insignia in Manchester’s new Civic Quarter.

• Leeds City Council – a mastermind behind the ongoing regeneration of Leeds city centre and responsible for readying the city for the arrival of HS2 and NPR, Angela will be talking about the city’s learning’s from planning such a major transformation and will also be in a position to update delegates on the Leeds masterplan.
