  • DLA Piper – Susan Samuel is a partner at global law firm DLA Piper.  She has specific expertise in the Hospitality and Leisure, Consumer and Senior Living sectors. Susan’s clients include investors, developers and funders of real estate, global hotel operators, corporates in relation to their UK and global real estate, consumer and retail businesses and senior living organisations.  In response to coronavirus Susan has not only been advising her clients on immediate challenges they have faced, but also in planning their post-lockdown strategy and the hidden opportunities that have emerged.
  • West & North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce – Gerald has major influence across Yorkshire – with roles in the Chamber of Commerce, PDR Construction Ltd, Henry Boot PLC and Social Communications to name a few. The versatile nature of his various roles means he’s is in unique position to share the thoughts of the industry, the trends and changes which are appearing and what the legacy of Covid-19 may be.
  • Christie & Co – Jon joined Christie & Co in 1984 and has extensive experience in the sale and valuation of leisure businesses, together with the development of leisure and hospitality property. In the early 1990’s he was instrumental in the development of the company’s corporate pubs business and in 1995 established Christie & Co’s Leisure and Development team working throughout the UK and Europe. Acting on behalf of numerous operators, developers, PE investors and banks, Jon is recognised as one of the Leisure & Hospitality industry’s top “Go To” professional advisors in the UK.
  • Constructing Rainbows – Sharon Slinger FRICS CIWFM is the Director of Constructing Rainbows and works with built environment organisations to improve their business through implementation of diversity and inclusion strategies. With a background in quantity surveying, Sharon has 20 years’ experience working in the construction and facilities management industries for main contractors. Sharon has also featured in the OUTstanding/FT Top 50 Future Leaders list and won several awards for her work in diversity and inclusion.
  • CEG – Over the last 12 years, Paul has managed a multi-million sq ft portfolio of commercial space on behalf of CEG. Over the last 12 years, Paul has managed a multi-million sq ft portfolio of commercial space on behalf of CEG. This includes flagship schemes such as the 110,000 sq ft, seven-storey award-winning Number One Kirkstall Forge in Leeds, which was 70%-let by the time it opened in November 2017. The £400 million Kirkstall Forge development is set to deliver a thriving mixed-use community of 1,050 new homes, 300,000 sq ft of offices and 100,000 sq ft of retail, leisure and community space and CEG has already delivered a new railway station connecting the site to Leeds City Centre in six minutes. Paul is also working on CEG’s 8 acre Temple development in Leeds City Centre which will deliver up to 103,900 sq m of offices, retail, leisure, hotel, health, education and community uses, parking and up to 750 new homes, along with new public spaces and landscaping.
