Conference Overview

Our event in Glasgow will look at the University and Higher Education sector in Scotland and will feature some of the leading Universities. Attracting talent to the City is key as is the challenge of retaining them post-graduation, so the dynamic for both of these leading Universities in terms of working closely with the City Councils is key to the economic prosperity of Scotland.

Gary Jebb, Director of Estates at University of Edinburgh will talk about their 2030 development projects – which are set to take place of four campuses, with new buildings, redevelopments and refurbishments.

Ann Allen, the Director of Estates and Buildings at Glasgow University will present details on their £1bn masterplan for growth which is set to transform the city and the University.

We’ll also welcome Dr Roddy Macdonald, Head of Higher Education and Science Division at The Scottish Government. Roddy will be giving an opening keynote to really set the scene of higher education within the Scotland and share an overview of funding, economic links, student support policies and more.

We hope to be in a position to announce further speakers shortly.
