Future Development Plans – Sheffield; Sponsored by Pegasus Group

Friday, 15th January 2021 0945hrs – 1130hrs

Inward investment is at an all-time high within the Sheffield City Region – and this is leading to major development and regeneration across the region.

New opportunities are being unlocked to unleash the pent up potential of the region – and those at the forefront of the future built environment projects will be coming together for this event as we gather the public and private sector.

Alongside an hour of online speed networking we’ll hear from some key figures as they present and answer your questions on their development projects and future plans.

Speakers for this event include:

Paul Bedwell,
Senior Director
Andrew Davison,
Project Director
Sharon Kemp,
Chief Executive
Tom Wilmot,
Development Director
  • Pegasus Group – with over 30 years’ experience in the public and private sector, Paul will add a good mix of knowledge to the session. He’ll share his thoughts on the major projects proposed for the city region, whilst also sharing intel into his other role as an advisor for the Sheffield City Region’s Housing and Infrastructure Executive Board which is aiming to achieve a two to threefold increase in the delivery of new homes.
  • Queensberry – The £470 million Heart of City II scheme that Queensberry are developing along with Sheffield City Council is one of the most important in the city in a generation. Andrew will talk about the next phases of the scheme which includes cultural and retail spaces, the conversion of a grade II listed building and 70,000 sq ft of Grade A office space.
  • Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council – Sharon will give an update on the regeneration of Rotherham High Street with the latest segment of the plans including the demolition the former Primark Building to make way for a town centre residential development. The plans form part of the Town Centre Masterplan which includes £30m plus funding for three major housing developments at Wellgate, Westgate and Sheffield Road, as well as improvements to open spaces across College Street, Bridgegate, Howard Street and Effingham Street. Sharon will be sharing more intel on these schemes and how to get involved.
  • Capital and Centric – Capital and Centric have highlighted Sheffield as one of their priority cities over the next decade and have quickly set about being an agent for regeneration within the city. Their latest project is the Eyewitness residential and leisure project which is bringing back to life a disused factory complex on the edge of the city. As part of this event Tom will talk about their grand ambitions in the Sheffield City region.
