WEBINAR: Transforming the Thames Estuary Corridor

Thursday, 18th June 2020 1000hrs – 1100hrs

Over the coming months we’ll be hosting a series of webinars – helping to keep the industry moving and talking during a period of uncertainty, enabling people to talk and build relationships whilst helping to maintain industry confidence and demonstrating thought leadership.

This webinar will focus on the development activity in the Thames Estuary Corridor.

The Thames Estuary Action Plan will have been approved in June by the Thames Estuary Board and in this webinar we’ll be joined by the Thames Estuary Envoy Kate Willard alongside other influential voices and players who’re at the forefront of economic growth in this area.

This webinar represents a call to action for those companies and individuals looking to play a part in this initiative over the next few years

This event will run in a similar manner to all of our physical events – with short presentations from several key speakers and opportunities for live Q&A and interaction.

Speakers for this event include:

Kate Willard resized Kate Willard OBE,
Chair
Mark Quinn,
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Ken Dytor Urban Catalyst Ken Dytor,
Founder and Executive Chairman
  • Thames Estuary Growth Board / Thurrock Council – Kate was recently announced the Thames Estuary Envoy and she’ll set to tone for this webinar outlining the vision and plan, and clarifying how firms can get involved.
  • Quinn Estates – an outspoken, positive visionary and brilliant advocate for development in the South East, Mark is an expert at collaborating with public sector clients to deliver major regeneration projects. Well known for award winning development across the Thames Estuary, they have a number of new schemes in the pipeline including their £250m Ashford film/TV studio project, a residential tower at their Clifton Slipway site overlooking the Thames and a new garden village including 8,000 homes.
  • Urban Catalyst – One of the masterminds behind the £1bn joint venture to regenerate Purfleet town centre, Ken joins this session at an excellent time given the recent unveiling of the first images showing how the scheme will look once completed. Plans include a new 1,000,000 sq ft media village, 2850 new homes and a myriad of new retail and leisure space.
