On the back of George Osborne’s speech a few weeks ago, regarding the creation of a world beating Northern Economic Powerhouse, and the subsequent issuing of “One North; A Proposition for an Interconnected North” by the cities of Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield and Newcastle upon Tyne, we have put together a number of high level, influential and exciting panels to explain and discuss the main elements that will constitute and “Interconnected North”. The day will be split into 5 sections, based on Rail, Road, Air and Sea connectivity. There will be high level presentations by HS2, Network Rail, The Highways Agency, Manchester, Leeds Bradford and Newcastle Airports and the Atlantic Gateway and Humber Ports. Each of the presentations will be followed by a high level panel discussion. Companies such as Peel, ASDA, Tatton Estate and many others will be joining the panels. We have senior representation from the relevant Local Authorities, and are also in discussions with a number of high ranking politicians, to also join us on the day. The final section of the conference is designed to help create a “lobbying report” on behalf of our property and construction industry to help to ensure that the “One North; A Proposition for an Interconnected North” becomes a reality. We are delighted to announce that we are partnering with Deloitte who will be producing the “Lobbying Report”. I hope you are able to join us for this fantastic day and learn about where the opportunities for future work may come from, and also to play your part in helping these visions become a reality.
