The development sector in Wales is increasingly vibrant.

Welsh Government – Ian Williams, Deputy Director of Homes & Places

With on of the most expansive and ambitious housing development targets in the British isles, Welsh government are in the midst of a major housebuilding programme and are stopping at nothing to deliver the 20,000+ extra homes needed within the next five years. As part of this session, Ian will talk in depth about how he is working to encourage housebuilding through public and private sector collaboration and will also touch on different innovations for delivery including MMC.

Tirion Homes – David Ward, Chief Executive

Tirion Homes are in the process of transforming the old Arjo Wiggins Paper Mill site in Cardiff into 125 new homes. The development will consist of 48 flats over four three-storey blocks and 77 houses. The development is part of a wider 800-home project in Cardiff. As Chief Executive, David will be able to share insight into how this will assist in solving the housing crisis in Wales.
