Future Development Plans – York

Monday, 29th June 2020 1400hrs – 1500hrs

This webinar will focus on the development activity in York and the wider city region – with the ambitious York Central project set to be a catalyst for economic growth.

York Central Partnership – a collaborative partnership between the City of York Council, Network Rail, Homes England and the Railway Museum – are working collaboratively to transform the city. The plans aim to grow York’s economy by 20%, deliver 2,500 new homes, create 6,500 jobs and connect the city to HS2 and the Northern Powerhouse.

We’ll hear from key players in the future of the project whilst looking at the challenges ahead, future projects and plans.

This event will run in a similar manner to all of our physical events – with short presentations from several key speakers and opportunities for live Q&A and interaction.

Speakers for this event include:

Cllr Keith Aspden,
Leader
Catherine Clayton,
Assistant Director, Operations & Business Readiness

  • City of York Council – The York Central Partnership development is one of the largest city centre brownfield development sites in the UK; the 45 hectare site will see 2,500 homes built and will create up to 6,500 new jobs in the city.
