The third phase of Blueprint’s Trent Basin development has been given the go ahead – with planning permission being granted for the site. The scheme, which is part of a multi-phased masterplan which will continue beyond this third stage, is delivering much needed housing to the Nottingham area.

The regeneration specialists behind the project, Blueprint, are set to speak about the ongoing masterplan for the site, and other developments at the Nottingham Development Plans Conference on the 9th May.

The historic waterfront site is situated on the outskirts of the City Centre, with good connectivity to the surrounding region. This stage will create 33 more homes in addition to those already built, with the overall plan to built 500 low-energy homes on the site.

Peter Conboy, Project Director at Blueprint, said on the announcement: ”We’re really excited that the third phase of our multi award-winning new neighbourhood at Trent Basin has now received planning permission. This phase will deliver 33 more contemporary homes and will open up a further part of the basin’s historic waterfront. All homes in phase one have now been sold and we will be releasing our phase two homes for sale in May, for which we’ve already received a lot of interest.”

The scheme incorporates a community energy centre, called Project SCENe (Sustainable Community Energy Network), which will lower the cost energy for homeowners and distribute renewables more efficiently to reduce overall carbon emissions.
