On the 16th January, prominent business and public-sector leaders will come together at the Worcester Development Plans conference – one of the City’s largest business events of the year within the property and construction industry.

The event, hosted by Built Environment Networking, will see five of the region’s biggest names in the construction and property industry lead a regional discussion including presentations of ongoing or proposed development plans in the area and plans for the region’s future.

  • Stephen Pratt, Group Land Director and Co-Founder of Midlands based developer Godwin Developments, will be presenting the new schemes which Godwin Developments have in the pipeline after recently acquiring sites in the Worcester area.
  • Alan White, Chief Executive at Malvern Hills Science Park will provide an update on the development of the park, which has been highlighted as one of the four ‘game-changer’ investment sites in Worcestershire.
  • Gerard Ludlow, Director at Stoford Developments, will be giving an overview of development plans for their business including the Worcester Six and Redditch Gateway projects.
  • Philippa Smith, Deputy Director for Economic Development and Planning at Worcester City Council will be talking about the councils masterplan for the region and provide a review of the South Worcestershire Development Plan.
  • David Warburton, Head of Public Land at the Homes & Communities Agency, will discuss the need for more housing in the area and how they’ll be looking to support businesses to deliver.

The conference will provide an opportunity for those within the industry to gain insight on projects likely to take place within the region, whilst also giving a platform to debate and discuss the issues at the top of the economic and regional agenda.
