Since devolution became the buzz word in the UK regions local councils have been far more proactive in terms of securing inward investment, government funding and setting out a development plan for the City. Worcester is no exception and with some impressive schemes is now ideally poised to take advantage of the momentum from London but also devolution and is becoming a key area for business.
We have a panel ready for you that will provide you with some useful market data, development intelligence, visibility on key procurement opportunities and an insight into the region’s investment potential.
Philippa Smith, Deputy Director Economic Development and Planning will talk about the master plan and also provide a review of the South Worcestershire Development Plan.
Malvern Hills Science Park is one of the 4 ‘game changer’ investment sites in Worcestershire and Alan White the Chief Executive will provide an update on the development of the park and the impact that it will have on the City’s economy and the construction activity in the area.
By the time we get to January then the Homes & Communities Agency will have rebranded as ‘Homes England’ and David Warburton, Director will talk us through the plans that they have to support house building in the area.
We are waiting to hear back from other developers and also Highways England.
