Leeds Bradford Airport is set for a large multimillion pound extension which will give a major boost to the regional economy. The planned extension of their terminal building will transform the current building and provide a higher level of service and amenities to those passing through the airport.

Details of the planned development, which will be a feature of the West Yorkshire Economic Growth Conference where Leeds Bradford Airport are set to speak, include:

  • Three-storey extension.
  • Transformation of arrivals process – including immigration, customs and baggage.
  • New and larger departure gates.
  • Additional seating areas.
  • New food and beverage outlets.

The new building is set to be completed by winter 2019 – before phase two then begins to integral the building into the existing building to enhance check-in facilities, offer a better customer journey, and more.

Leeds Bradford Airport will present plans of their future vision for the airport at the West Yorkshire Economic Growth Conference. They’ll be joining Transport for the North, Network Rail and Leeds City Council on the Infrastructure Session.
