Medway Council has given the green light to the latest phase of the £420m Rochester Riverside project.

The scheme led by Countryside Properties – who’re speaking on our Virtual Housing & BTR Conference – and Hyde Housing is regenerating the area with a new mixed-use community with around 1,400 homes being built, alongside accompanying education facilities, a hotel, retail space, 10 acres of open green space and more.

The latest phase which has been approved includes: [emaillocker id=”71749″]

  • 171 new properties comprising of;
  • 128 apartments
  • 43 houses
  • Mixture of sizes from one to four bed
  • Large park
  • Riverside walk

Andy Fancy, Managing Director (Partnerships North and South London) at Countryside Properties, said: “Throughout the project, we have worked closely with the local community and Medway Council to ensure that the development reflects the needs of residents and businesses and delivers high-quality homes and community facilities. Phase 3 is no different and will deliver a varied mix of new homes, ideal for Medway residents and those looking to find their perfect home in this thriving location.”

Cllr Alan Jarrett – the Leader of Medway Council – added: “We’re delighted that progress continues to be made with Medway’s flagship development. Phase 3 is set to deliver further housing options for people and the first affordable homes on the site are due to be completed later this year, which makes Rochester Riverside even more desirable to the people of Medway. I’d like to wish everyone involved with the development well during this time, especially the residents who’ve already moved in. It’s a fantastic community which is continuing to grow and thrive.”
