A host of projects contributing to the £33 billion Infrastructure Investment Plan will be discussed at this event.

The Scottish Government is planning to invest unprecedented amounts into transport and infrastructure, as part of their commitment to increase annual investment by more than 1% of Scottish Gross Domestic Product. This will support thousands of jobs and is estimated to simulate the Scottish economy by between £10 and £25 billion over the next 15 years. The Infrastructure Investment Plan will focus on three core strategic themes: enabling the transition to net-zero, driving inclusive economic growth and building resilient and sustainable places. Examples of this infrastructure spending include £550m for rail decarbonisation, over £500m for bus priority, over £550m for active travel infrastructure projects and £287m for the Future Transport Fund.

This, along with major private sector investment in the industry particularly in renewable energy infrastructure, means it is an exciting time to get involved in the sector with myriad opportunities for collaboration.
