Event Information:

As we move out of the Brexit transition period the UK’s future relationship with the European Union and what this will mean to the property sector remains opaque. Many in the industry are unsure how they will be affected and what they need to do to minimise disruption over the coming 12 months.

This webinar will gather together a selection of senior thought leaders and decision makers to shed some light on the end of the transition period and what the immediate opportunities for the built environment will be. It is a must for those wanting to stay up to speed on building regulations, international developer investment and meeting the skills shortage.

Speakers for this event include:

  • Construction Leadership Council – Ann has more than 35 years’ experience in the property and construction sector with particular expertise in working with commercial, public and third sector clients. She has been a member of the Construction Leadership Council since 2016 and is one of the most respected figures in the Construction Industry. Her day to day role as a Global Board Director of RLB (pas Global Chair), a Strategy Board Member – i3P and Strategy Board Chair – Networks Plus ensures that she is at the forefront of innovation and change in the industry and someone who’s opinions and views are very much sought after. She will provide some thought leadership on the work the CLC are doing to help the industry to adapt, adjust and rise to meet the Prime Minister’s ‘Build, build, build’ ambition.
  • National Federation of Builders – James Butcher is Head of Policy for the National Federation of Builders and is co-ordinating a Brexit working group to ensure business resilience and continuity. The Federation has worked hard to identify the actions firms in the property industry needs to take in terms of supply chains, contracts, labour and more to ensure they are not negatively affected as we move out of the transition period. James will discuss the practical steps businesses can take to ensure they move through 2021 and beyond in a positive position.
  • British Property Federation – As Director of Policy for the British Property Federation and with 7 years as Chief Economist and Head of Policy at the British Chambers of Commerce behind him, Ian is an expert on the relationship between policy and on the property sector and the impacts it can have on developers, investors, landlords, property managers and others. He will discuss the BPF’s work to get its members ready for the end of the transition period and will outline the opportunities available to the property sector as we move through 2021 and beyond.
