HS2 Economic Growth Conference 2018 | Event

DEVELOPING STATIONS, HUBS & CITIES

HS2 is set to bring huge regeneration and development to the UK driving transformational economic growth – and this conference will look at how as an industry we can use HS2 to unlock the huge opportunities for each region affected by HS2 – whilst hearing from the major investors and developers who’ll reveal exclusive insights and plans for future schemes. HS2 is more than just trains and tracks, and our conference, supported by HS2 Ltd, will emphasis the need to collaborate as an industry to drive economic growth, accelerate the delivery of new homes, create new jobs, drive regenerate and development and much more – with plenty of networking time and exhibitors to connect with to enable you to be at the forefront of the HS2 economic growth story.

Through presentations, panel discussions and Q&A’s we’ll discover new schemes set to happen across each location, hear about how you can get involved in new projects and the procurement opportunities from the UK’s leading developers, whilst hearing exclusive insights from regional leaders about the future of each hub, city and region. The conference will take place over two stages – with regional leaders firstly discussing the opportunities and plans for each region via an audience engaging Q&A session before each hub and city will share presentations with local authorities and private sector leaders sharing their plans set to drive jobs, homes, development, regeneration and more.

INTEGRATED HIGH SPEED STATIONS & NORTHERN POWERHOUSE

Not only will our conference focus on the regions set to benefit directly from hubs via the planned HS2 line, but we’ll also bring together business and civic leaders from across other regions to talk about the huge opportunities HS2 can bring to the towns and cities bordering and surrounding the HS2 lines. Due to their proximity to the HS2 line regions can boost inward investment, create new jobs and accelerate housing for those commuting to surrounding areas via the improved infrastructure and transport links. We’ll be hearing from a few of those to hear their plans and vision before we delve into the Northern Powerhouse conversation. Northern Powerhouse Rail and improved links via road are being championed by Northern towns and cities – with the impact potentially seeing exponential growth for areas – whilst it will help rebalance the economy and close the North-South divide.
