This new development strategy adopted by the Chinese Government involves infrastructure development and investments in 152 countries – and the UK is seen as a key element. We’ll be hearing about how this is set to boost investment in the UK, and in particular London.

London Property Club – June | Speakers

London Property Club Speakers

Who’s speaking on Friday 7th June

We already have some exceptional industry leaders and experts confirmed to speak at the London Property Club conference. More speakers are being added all the time, so please keep an eye on this page.

David Biggs, Managing Director, Network Rail Property

With over 25 years experience operating as a senior executive; David is the Managing Director for Network Rail’s property division. His customer-focused approach to placemaking has shown how stations can be a catalyst for regeneration – creating a hub for communities and becoming destinations in their own right. Embracing partnership with developers, David has overseen the creation of five commercial joint ventures in the last 10 years and has been instrumental in accelerating the release of land for housing.

He’ll be speaking about their ongoing projects – and what future schemes will come to fruition in the immediate future – the next fifteen years.

Jamie Kerr, Managing Director, London Continental Railways (LCR)

Jamie is an experienced real estate and infrastructure professional – and that uniquely placed experience between the two gives him excellent knowledge when it comes to transport related rail property development projects.

His role at LCR focusses on creating new opportunities for development in and around exiting and proposed rail stations. His work can be seen through the exciting developments happening in and around HS2 stations, creating masterplans and growth strategies whilst identifying development opportunities both in and around stations. This work has now evolved into more wider development with LCR working with Transport for the North, Network Rail and other authorities to name a few.

He’ll be speaking in London about the major project they’re doing around Waterloo Station and other Network Rail properties.

Basil Demeroutis, Founder & Managing Partner, Fore Partnership / LandAid

Basil works at the intersection of private wealth and commercial property, and is passionate about sustainable real estate, and aligning property investment strategy with family values, and a wider sense of purpose. For the last two decades he has assembled disconnected views of ‘green’ investing, design, community, social impact, personal creativity and empowerment into a vision for property investing that FORE Partnership call ‘responsible real estate’ whilst driving higher returns with lower risks.

He’ll be speaking about their projects and future vision as the purpose-driven real estate investment firm actively investment and seek assets across the UK, with current schemes at Tower Bridge Court, Hammersmith Road and Mill Street just a few of those ongoing.

Vicky Pryce, Board Member, CEBR

Vicky has had a glittering career as an economist and chief economist starting out at Williams & Glyn’s Bank (now part of RBS). She moved between several large organisations including Exxon Europe, Peat Marwick McLintock and KPMG. Her current position as Board Member at the CEBR follows her being the Chief Economic Adviser at the CEBR and the Head of Government Economic Service.

With the disruption caused by Brexit, and the uncertainty of living in a VUCA world, will potentially create doubt for investors – and expert Vicky will deliver a must hear keynote on the economic outlook and future of London and the wider UK that could be crucial to your business.

Amanda Coupland, Director, Built Environment Networking
