This virtual event will look to highlight development opportunities and regeneration schemes across the Republic of Ireland whilst looking to drive investment and economic growth into the country.

The Republic of Ireland has become a hub for global investment – and the country wants to see this continue. We’ll not only look at thriving cities like Dublin – but we’ll look across the wider country at the ambitious development plans being proposed – from commercial projects and data centres, to new towns, the ever growing BtR sector and placemaking.

Joining Clúid Housing in 2007, Fiona Cormican is Clúid’s New Business Director. Fiona has over 20 years’ experience in social housing development. Previously, Fiona was New Business and Regeneration Project Manager for Clúid, and Director of Operations for Tógáil Developments Ltd. Fiona holds a Masters in Project Management, a BA in Education, a PMP certificate and a diploma in Site Management.

Cork City Council is in the process of putting together their City Development plan for the next 8 years. As Director of Strategic and Economic Development, Fearghal will be able to share further insight into the plan, with the residents of Cork able to share their own insight into the plan which will shape the future of the ever-growing city.

 

Wexford County Council – Tom Enright, Chief Executive

Trinity Wharf has been described as one of the most significant milestones in the history of Wexford’s economic development, with plans for modern office space, hotel accommodation, a multi-storey car park, a landmark cultural and events building, 60 residential units, a 61 berth marina and a new boardwalk linking Trinity Wharf to Paul Quay and the Crescent in the pipeline. The first phase will create up to 2,000 new jobs, with the whole project set to cost over €120m.

 

Land Development Agency – Phelim O’Neill, Head of Property

The Land Development Agency is a commercial, state sponsored body that has been created to coordinate land within State control for more optimal uses where appropriate, with a focus on the provision of housing. With over €1.25 billion of capital earmarked by the government for the LDA, there are multiple projects in the pipeline. As head of property at Land Development Agency, Phelim is best placed to share insight into the 597 home development at Shanganagh, which makes up Ireland’s largest social and affordable housing scheme.
