WEBINAR: Oxford Cambridge ARC Development Plans

Wednesday, 10th June 2020 1000hrs – 1100hrs

Over the coming months we’ll be hosting a series of webinars – helping to keep the industry moving and talking during a period of uncertainty, enabling people to talk and build relationships whilst helping to maintain industry confidence and demonstrating thought leadership.

This webinar will focus on the development activity aided by the Oxford Cambridge ARC project as a once in a generation opportunity for growth takes place.

We’ll be addressing some of the key issues and challenges which we as an industry face in the coming months, but speakers will also be invited to share details on their current development programme and future pipelines as well as providing advice and opinion on what the industry needs to do to survive the current crisis, what is requires in the short term and how we will manage the increased demand and activity once the UK recovers.

This event will run in a similar manner to all of our physical events – with short presentations from several key speakers and opportunities for live Q&A and interaction.

Speakers for this event include:

Professor Lynette Ryals MK U University Milton Keynes Cranfield Lynette Ryals,

  • Oxford to Cambridge Arc Leaders Group – The Arc leaders group aims to bring together the local authorities, LEPs, universities and businesses with a shared vision to drive investment, regeneration and inclusive growth. Bev will share the work the group is doing to ensure the region emerges from the Covid-19 crisis in as strong a position as possible.
  • Thrive Homes – Manage 5,000 affordable homes worth over £1 billion across the region, and are working to deliver 500 new homes over the next three years. Jack will share exclusive details of an unannounced development near the new East West Rail station in Winslow which will total over 100 homes when complete.
  • MEPC Silverstone Park – MEPC are developing nine new units providing 140,000 sq ft of industrial space within the Aylesbury Vale Enterprise Zone. A new spine road will be constructed and they have planning permission for a further 120,000 sq ft development to provide space for companies to make the Silverstone technology cluster their home.
