This webinar will focus on the development activity in Brighton and the wider city region, whilst also addressing some of the key issues and challenges which we as an industry face in the coming months. Speakers will be invited to share details on their current development programme and future pipelines as well as providing advice and opinion on what the industry needs to do to survive the current crisis, what is requires in the short term and how we will manage the increased demand and activity once the UK recovers.

Speakers for this event include:

  • QED Property – The developer behind the long anticipated Sea Lanes project which will regenerate a neglected section of Brighton sea front will give an update on the projects progress. The development will include moveable modular buildings which will provide space for events as well as shops, restaurants and offices, with 39 units in total alongside the open-air swimming pool.
  • Co-Living Spaces – A multi award winning property developer with a plethora of experience working for multinational blue chips, Co-Living’s sole purpose is to disrupt the residential market by providing innovative shared spaces for communities to live in. Concentrating primarily on the south coast, Scott’s portfolio is ever expanding and he will be showcasing his work, methodology and future ambitions with our delegates.
  • University of Brighton – The University’s campus is undergoing the “Big Build” its biggest ever capital development programme, including over 800 new student bedrooms, a new academic building, new Students Union, fitness facilities and improved social spaces to be built. Sue will give an update on the ongoing project and how it will transform the offering provided to students.
  • A Designer at Heart – Aspiring to take the UK interior design scene by force, Martina and her team are specialists in creating spaces that have an local feel for an international outlook. She will talk about their strength in collaboration with developers and how intricate design demands of young professionals could be the deciding factor when they are choosing places to live and work.
  • Brighton & Hove City Council – The Council are working hard to implement their five year plan for economic growth which seeks to build on the city’s strengths as a hub for creativity, innovation and enterprise with a diverse small business economy. Max will provide an overview of this work which will see Brighton & Hove establish itself as one of the UK’s most economically vibrant, inclusive and future-facing cities.
