Event Information:

This webinar will focus on the development activity in Bristol and the South West.

The South West is going through an exciting growth period – with devolution and a collaborative approach bringing around new investment opportunities and development activity is thriving. From the focus on delivering a Western Gateway to aid economic growth to unleashing the potential of the airport, the port and the infrastructure – plans are taking shape.

Some of those developers who’ll be playing a key role in this growth will be speaking on this webinar – as Bristol City Council, YTL Developments, Goram Homes and Southmead Development Trust take to the virtual stage to share short presentations on their plans before an interactive Q&A session with the audience.

Speakers for this event include:

  • Goram Homes – founded by Bristol City Council in 2018 the housebuilding firm is aiming to develop 2,500 homes by 2025 and has even bigger ambitions from thereafter. They’re striking up some exciting joint-ventures with leading developers and they’ll discuss some of those plans such as Baltic Wharf.
  • Southmead Development Trust – one of the largest community owned projects in the UK, the trust is looking to address local demand for affordable and suitable housing whilst regenerating public spaces. Amy will give an overview of their plans to build a mixed-use community including 120-homes, a health centre, library and office space.
  • YTL Developments – everyone across the South West is likely to know about this huge project to transform the former Filton Airfield site – with Bristol’s new 17,000-capacity arena set for the Brabazon. Thousands of homes will be delivered in several phases on this 345-acre brownfield site and Seb will discuss their ongoing plans, the timeframes for each phase, and the opportunities to be involved in the project.
  • Bristol City Council – Stephen will provide an overview of the Council’s work to drive inclusive growth and regeneration and how this has adapted to take into account the current situation. The Council’s efforts include the proposed regeneration of the derelict Grosvenor Hotel, Knowle West Regeneration. He will discuss how the City and the SW in general is performing and how the public and private sectors are working together through lockdown.
  • AskPyramid Consultancy – experts in market intelligence, market and customer insights and data analytics, AskPyramid are keen to create partnerships with a purpose, always striving for significant outcomes. They’ll be joining us to share their expertise particularly in the Bristol marketplace.
