Event Information:

Hertfordshire is often seen as a commuter county sitting in London’s shadow, but an impressive array of development activity demonstrates it is an attractive place to invest, work and develop in its own right.

During this event some of those influential names looking to shape the future of the region will take to our virtual stage. They’ll be highlighting the opportunities across the region, the work they’ve got in the pipeline and how your business can get involved in the future growth of Hertfordshire.

Speakers for this event include:

  • Watford Borough Council – Watford Junction is a 19 hectare site, centred around a major transport interchange in the town centre and is set for a significant revamp. This will see 2,500 new homes, two schools, employment space and major improvements to Watford’s station. The project began at the end of 2019, with two more phases planned that will see the project continuing through the next five years. Donna will outline the benefits this transformative project will bring, and how the council are working with partners to bring their vision to fruition.
  • Catalyst Housing Group – Joe has worked at Catalyst for the past six years with responsibility for all land and new business activity in the London region. Following Catalyst’s merger with Aldwyck in 2019, Joe has established a new regional land and partnerships function specifically to grow Catalyst’s existing pipeline across the Oxford-Cambridge Arc, with a particular focus on partnership working with housebuilders and local authorities. Joe’s experience of securing new opportunities via a range of different acquisition routes has enabled Catalyst to deliver more multi-tenure homes people love across London and the South East.
  • Hertfordshire LEP – Adam is responsible for managing the LEP’s Growing Places Fund and the Single Local Growth Fund relating to delivery of infrastructure, regeneration and housing projects across the county. Adam also encourages effective joint working between the LEP, Hertfordshire County Council, District and Borough Councils, the Local Transport Board and Hertfordshire Infrastructure and Planning Partnership to deliver an exciting and challenging growth programme. He will discuss the LEP’s work to support economic recovery in Hertfordshire and how they are working with the county’s key decision makers to unlock long term economic growth and future prosperity.
