We’re set to look at some of the latest developments set to take place across Lancashire such as the £80m Eden Project, Pioneer Place in Burnley and the £1bn growth plan being led by the LEP.

Speakers will share short presentations on the current and future development ambitions whilst also providing thought leadership in the face of difficult challenges for the industry over the coming months.

Speakers for this event include:

• Czero Developments – the developer is behind a large regeneration project in Preston which includes a new 21-storey residential block and the restoration of an Old Orphanage with residential at its heart. Whilst other projects in Bolton and Manchester will also be discussed.

• Maple Grove Developments – a stalwart of development in the North of England, Maple Grove has a reputation for high quality projects. Nik will share the details of the recently approved £18 million Pioneer Place scheme in Burnley, which will see the construction of an eight-screen cinema as well as restaurants, bars, retails units, public realm and a large car park, whilst also detailing what’ll be next likely projects for the firm.

• Eden Project International – they are planning a northern version of the hugely successful Eden Project in Cornwall on the edge of Morecambe Bay. The £80 million project has a targeted 2023 completion date and is set to combine indoor and outdoor spaces as well as an 4,000 capacity arena to create an immersive visitor experience, with estimated annual visitor numbers of 760,000 expected. David will outline the plans and how they will move forward over the coming months.

• Miller Goodall – the independent environmental consultancy has worked on some impressive projects across the North West and she’ll be joining the panel to explain some of the issues impacting on the ability to take projects forward during the current Covid-19 pandemic.

• Lancashire County Council – Steve will talk about Lancashire strategic plans and touch on some of the significant projects that they will be bringing forward in the near future.
