With the North East region being one of the main beneficiaries of the levelling up agenda it is an exciting time
for the region with a host of multi-million pound developments in the pipeline.

Built Environment Networking returns to the North East for this bi-annual event which brings together the
organisations behind forthcoming schemes who will share project insight, collaboration opportunities and market
analysis. This session is a great opportunity for your company to secure a future pipeline of work while
networking with some of the area’s most influential names.

Speakers for this event include:

  • RivingtonHark – As master developers behind the reimagination of Newcastle City centre,
    Rivingtonhark are working to regenerate Northumberland Street with a new £50m vision. Plans include an
    overhaul of well known Eldon Square shopping centre and pedestrianising the area to create a cultural
    quarter for events, dining and leisure activity. Mark joins the event to share his organisation’s vision for
    the region and to talk about other forthcoming projects.
  • Business Durham – Business Durham have created an innovation fund which grants money to
    construction employers to cover research and development as well as staff costs and Mark will be joining the
    event to share details with delegates about how they can possibly benefit.
  • Darlington Borough Council – As Darlington council brings forward £225m worth of
    regeneration projects- including the £100m reimagination of the train station and the £125m Bank Top scheme.
    The town is also preparing for the arrival of the Treasury with several potential sites identified to host
    hundreds of new jobs and create true inclusive economic growth. Ian joins us to detail the future of
    Darlington and interact with our audience on how they can get involved.
  • Thirteen Group – Thirteen owns and manages some 34,000 properties in the North East and
    Yorkshire. Their experience spans from providing homes for rent to building and selling new homes and
    supporting vulnerable people with thoughtful and effective services. They have a wide-array of ongoing
    projects ranging from 12-home developments in Darlington to a 222-home project in Gresham. Thirteen have
    also recently submitted an application to work with Middlesbrough Council to deliver almost 300 homes in the
    Grove Hill area of the town
  • Hartlepool Borough Council – Hartlepool Borough Council are working on a variety of
    regeneration schemes that will contribute to levelling up the town and the wider region. Over the next few
    years, a wide array of major projects will be delivered across the town. The Hartlepool Waterfront will be
    developed into a landmark destination, featuring a mix of civic, cultural, and visitor attractions, as well
    as the new multi-million pound ‘Highlight’ Leisure Centre. The rest of the town will also be undergoing key
    regeneration with £25 million granted to the council via the UK Government’s Town Fund. Major renovation
    works will also be taking place at various historical sites across the city, including a £3m transformation
    of Hartlepool’s historic Borough Hall and the restoration of the Grade II-Listed Shades Hotel.
