Event Information:

This webinar will focus on future development activity in the healthcare estates sector.

The most recent general election was won with one of the clear messages being the investment into the NHS estate and property – with new hospitals and upgrades announced.

We’re holding this webinar alongside NHS Property to highlight some of those development plans and projects, whilst discussing how the Covid-19 pandemic could firstly impact the investment into property, but also how it could see the property and estate re-shaped to address the potential of future health emergencies.

Speakers for this webinar include:

  • NHS Property Services – there is set to be some major upgrades, developments and improvements across NHS Estates over the coming years and the property team will be in charge of delivering and planning these quality healthcare environments. We’ll hear an overview of their strategy and detail on future plans.
  • Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear NHS Foundation Trust – the trust has a £72m development programme which includes a £60m overhaul of Northgate Hospital in Morpeth which includes 130-homes to help bring in revenue to fund the programme. And further investment is planned at Ferndene with an expansion of the Mental Health facilities, and St Nicholas’ Hospital’s Bamburgh Unit. We’ll hear from the head of estates and facilities about their plans.
  • Pagabo – are one of the UK’s leading framework providers and procurement experts, who have a wealth of experience when it comes to healthcare procurement. They’ll reveal the work they’re doing and contracts they’re winning across this sector and highlight opportunities upcoming.
  • Willmott Dixon – has developed a suite of pre-designed healthcare products. Cura is a primary and community health and care facility which responds to the NHS Transformation Agenda. The Bridge is a patient hotel which addresses the need for step down care and potentially alleviating the pressure on acute care beds. In this session Anastasia will summarise the benefits of pre-design.
