This webinar will focus on the development, regeneration and investment activity in Shropshire.

Alongside Shropshire Council we’re hosting this webinar to reveal the future opportunities and ongoing development plans which are set to drive economic growth across the region.

Several private sector developers will join us to share short presentations on their plans for recently acquired land, and detail exclusive information on ongoing and future projects – from delivery timeframes to procurement opportunities. The webinar will include an opportunity for delegates to ask their questions.

Speakers for this event include:

  • Shropshire Council – as the County Council throws its weight behind several major regeneration projects, Mark will be joining us to dissect different schemes that will be coming to the fore. He will give an update on the first development’s taking place under the umbrella of their new housing company Cornovii Developments, as well as their ambition to build thousands of new homes in the district over the next 10 years.
  • Harworth Group – are one of Shropshire’s most strategically important developers and as plans for the development of the former 321 acre Iron Bridge Power Station accelerate, David will be unveiling the details behind the scheme which will feature 1000 new homes, 195,903 sq ft of non-residential floor space which would help create 622 and 17,222 sq ft of employment land.
  • Marches LEP – one of he most forward thinking LEPs in the UK, Shropshire is actively engaging with organisations across the built environment and has particular ambitions in low carbon energy related projects and jobs. As part of this session, Gill will talk about how energy considerations are key to unlocking 1000 jobs and attracting high quality developers to the county.
  • AHR – Robert Hopkins is a Regional Director at AHR and has over twenty years’ experience in the design of award winning buildings. As Sustainability Lead at AHR, Robert applies knowledge and experience across multiple sectors, as well as pioneering research, to advance the way our designs can tackle the current carbon crisis. Robert leads AHR’s #ZeroCarbonToday initiative, which provides the steps to achieving Net Zero Carbon across key sectors and building types.
