Speakers for this event include:

  • Transport for the North – Tim is the Director leading on Northern Powerhouse Rail and before we were drawn into the Covid-19 crisis the Government announced in the budget that funding was available for NPR and HS2 so it will be timely to understand what has happened since the announcement and what the timeline is for making NPR a reality.
  • Lendlease – The spearhead behind HS2’s Euston development, Bek knows all about the intricacies of developing the hubs surrounding major infrastructure schemes. While providing an update on Euston’s progress, in light of HS2’s greenlight to get development spades in the ground, Bek will give an overview of Lendlease’s other ambitions in Europe as we begin to look at the future of infrastructure post-Covid 19.
  • Highways England – David is in charge of a project portfolio worth £8bn, The programme will sit outside Highways England’s New Routes to Market procurement framework and comprises three of its biggest ever projects with a combined value of around £8bn: the A14 upgrade (which is now open had of time and budget), A303 Stonehenge tunnel and the Lower Thames Crossing. The A14 upgrade is worth £1.5bn, the A303 £1.6bn and the Lower Thames Crossing a whopping £4bn to £6bn. David will talk about his portfolio of projects with particular focus on the Lower Thames Crossing and the economic impact this will have on the region and also the South East corner of the UK.
  • East Midlands Councils – The guru of all things transport and infrastructure related in the East Midlands, Andrew is a senior decision maker in regards to developing the region’s infrastructure delivery programme. Whether it be road, rail or green travel, Transport for East Midlands and East Midlands Council have a hand in hundreds of millions of pounds worth of projects. Andrew will talk about HS2, developing a Midland Mainline that is fit for the 21st Century, the A46 Growth corridor, A5 Growth Corridor and transforming East-West connectivity
