This webinar is part of a new series on the future of the construction industry which are taking place over the next 12 months, and will explore the next big trends, innovations and challenges the industry needs to prepare for.

  • WE and AI – Nigel is a global speaker, influencer, and advisor on Artificial Intelligence. He is an industry veteran of 30 years and worked at Microsoft for 20 years in many different roles latterly as the European Chief Technology Officer for Professional Services working with EY, PwC, KPMG & Deloitte on technology and business innovation, artificial intelligence and near future technologies. He is now an independent voice on Artificial Intelligence founder of his own independent Artificial Intelligence advisory company called awaken AI and also co-founder and trustee of a non-profit organisation We and AI, he is one of the founding editors of the new Springer Journal on Ethical AI, and part of AI Policy Exchange as a technical/policy expert. Nigel hopes to help ensure that AI is used in a fair, ethical and transparent way and promote the use of AI to level inequalities in the world and promote AI for good and AI for all.
  • The Big Innovation Centre – in the wake of the Covid-19 crisis, artificial intelligence is going to play a major role in the UK smart city agenda. Birgitte will talk about the work she is leading in conjunction with the All Parliamentary Group for AI to promote healthy places and the economic potential the adoption of AI will have for Great Britain.
