Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology that has so far failed to become more than a gimmick in the construction sector with its use so far being more popular in the military and aviation industries. Arguably the blockers holding back adoption of the technology in the property and construction sector are quickly eroding and in this webinar we will be exploring the benefits of Augmented Reality in the sector including how it can be used to increase efficiency and transform the construction process.

  • Amadeus Capital Partners – Nick believes that construction is a sector that’s ripe for radical innovation and believes that augmented reality has the potential to revolutionise how the construction industry sets out and validates its work, reducing costs and the chance of project slippage from mistakes. He will reveal more about why Amadeus Capital Partners have chosen to invest in organisations using augmented reality in construction and their future investment plans.
  • Darf Design – Sahar spent the early part of her career working for Norman Foster, one of the world’s most renowned architects but over time found her creativity peaking while pursuing the digital rather than the physical. So she left to study and create her own AR app called ARki. More than 700 architects and firms have signed up to use the ARki over the past few years—including Foster + Partners. Sahar will give more intel on the ARki app as well as giving a thought leadership perspective on AR, its use and its future in the property and construction sectors.
  • XYZ Reality – aims to transform the construction industry with its vision of building from holograms. The firm has developed the world’s first ‘engineering-grade augmented reality’ device, HoloSite which allows construction workers to view Building Information Models on-site to 5mm accuracy. Having just secured £4.9 million in funding from Amadeus Capital and others, David will reveal his plans and vision for XYZ Reality and give thought leadership on why AR will help drive construction and development in the future.
